WOW! Did you know that so many scenes you love were actually improvised?

Since the writer’s strike and AI not quite getting there with its script-writing abilities yet, Hollywood has decided to go in a different direction to try and reduce the cost of its film budgets. It’s trialing getting rid of writers entirely.

The animated sequels of stories we love, Toy Story 5 and Shrek 5, have been animated to have completely random mouth movements so that voice actors can do their best work. They’ll just broadly guess at what words would fit the plot. 

The Odyssey will see Matt Damon and Tom Holland doing their best impressions of Ancient Greek poetry. 

Untitled Steven Spielberg film is yet to be titled largely because the plot is currently unknown to everyone including the actors. Of course, there will be teary scenes and an emphasis on how fractured families make it through, it’s just that no-one is quite sure how this will all fit together. Spielberg is also making the bold decision to not only have the actors improvise, but to have the score be improvised as well. Which could lead to an interesting musical score playing throughout the film. 

I hope you’re looking forward to seeing so many great scenes! That just so happen to be unscripted. We’ll get great moments like ‘You can’t handle the truth’ again in no time.
