Not all sources of life advice are made equal, and with Kylie Jenner and the rest of the bourgeoisie promoting the surveillance state new recent fad of AI led glasses, we have reports of this sad truth becoming known.

One woman’s experience with this new piece of tech has left her struggling to cope with her newfound insecurities after the bot tuned into the Tumblr account of a depressed teenage girl’s blog from 2015. This user has been encountering a slew of insults as she looked in the mirror every day and passively spoke to herself as we all tend to do. Not only was it reciting the quotes of a child going through some of the roughest teenage days as some kind of disturbed affirmations, but it also started to redirect the wearer to the darkest corners of X (the everything app) to find community and, well, disturbed inspiration.

Upon realising the damage this was causing to her, the customer decided to open-up about her struggles with the product to a friend, discussing what to do next, “They are so expensive, advanced technology, surely, I am imagining all these issues? I think I am going crazy! I cannot just get rid of them all together, right?”

Unfortunately, the glasses tapped into what was being said from inside a zipped bag and the algorithm proceeded to encourage her to end it all after picking a few lines from Tumblr once again. The poor woman ended up delaying seeking out treatment for the newly found mental health crisis she was experiencing after being recommended to “have a cup of tea and a bath” from the glasses themselves, citing a harrowing experience with CAMHS from a decade ago.

Thankfully, she has managed to disconnect from the glasses and get help from registered professionals. Providers of the new gadgets have not offered a comment on the matter.
